Creativity isn’t just related to artists it’s about making new routines, connections or experiences that in turn inspire you to find that spark, so finding new ways that have helped in pushing my motivation is always something I’m keen to encourage. It’s isn’t always possible to dedicate hours or days purely devoted to your creative journey or practicing your craft however there are usually small pockets in our day which we can put towards little fulfilling tasks that in turn could inspire our work. Here are just a few ways / tasks that bring me joy from the little things.

How do you try to keep yourself full of enthusiasm & your brain ticking over?

#01 || Make your own ice cubes, a personal favourite is a mixture of raspberry / strawberry & mint

#02 || Water your plants, regardless of whether you have 1 or a 100

#03 || Take the time to sew up any ripped clothes or maybe destroy some to make new items

#04 || Create your daily hairstyle, have 1 week where each day features something different

#05 || Choose your daily outfit, pairing items that make you feel awesome

#06 || Turn the pages of a good book, after waking up or before sleep are great times but a quiet afternoon on the sofa or in the sun is a yes

#07 || Put together a mood board of your latest project(s) or ideals, cut & stick to your heart’s content

#08 || Declutter, tidy & sort out your cupboards, regardless of whether they’re full of food or clothes

#09 || Wrap up any early birthday (& Christmas) presents in your own style - go all out

#10 || Start your own creative project or hobby, it could be anything. For me it’s currently origami.

#11 || Visit local events: exhibitions, car boot sales, craft & veg markets to name only a few

#12 || Make a meal that’s a little ambitious (& yes take that picture of your achievement)

13 || Paint your nails a dashing colour

14 || Write your to - do list (but be realistic), the feeling you get from ticking off completed tasks is amazing

15 || Fetch the paint & create your own masterpiece whether it be on paper, a canvas, a fence or a wall

16 || Go on a walk & document all those little things that catch your eye

17 || Get the colouring pencils out & have a doodle

18 || When getting out of bed, make it how you’d like it - there’s nothing better than getting into a beautifully made bed

19 || Listen to a podcast whilst doing the everyday chores, it can be mindless but at times oh so inspiring

How do you fit in those happy moments of creativity ?
